The Virginia Senior Games

You Never heard of the Virginia State Senior Games?

ARCHERY, BADMINTON, BASKETBALL, BILLIARDS, BOWLING and other sports including PICKLEBALL….PICKLEBALL????

The Virginia Senior Games is open to anyone 50 years of age or older. Through a multitude of athletic and social events, participants have the opportunity to display their athletic ability and share common ties and interests with other senior individuals throughout the Commonwealth. The emphasis is not so much competition as it is the fellowship and socialization.

The Virginia Senior Games is held in the spring of each year and attracts hundreds of athletes plus volunteers, spectators, and cheering families from everywhere.

To be eligible to enter any event, a participant must be 50 years of age or older by December 31, 2014, complete a registration form, sign a standard release form, and submit the necessary registration fees.

AWARDS:

Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals will be given for Men’s and Women’s Divisions in each Age Category (50-54; 55-59; 60-74; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80-84; 85-89; 90-94; 95-99; 100+); All medal winners will be recognized immediately following competition.

Currently the information posted shows on May 14-17, 2014 the Bowling competition will be held at SpareTimes in Hampton once entry forms are posted on the  Virginia Senior Games website we will post a notice on the VPUSBC Social media pages.

VPUSBC 4th Annual Awards Ceremony

The Virginia Peninsula USBC Bowling Association to honor it’s outstanding Bowler’s.

 

The VPUSBC 4th Annual AwarMagnuson-Hotel-Convention-Center-Oyster-Pointds Ceremony will be held on October 26th at the Magnuson Hotel and Convention Center at Oyster Point, 1000 Omni Blvd, Newport News, VA .

Starting at 6:00 PM with a Social and cash bar followed by Dinner and awards presentation ceremony.

 

 

Awards to be presented are:

Bowlers of the Year                                Meritorious Service Award
All Star Teams                                          Youth Coach of the Year

 Virginia Peninsula USBC Bowling Association Hall of Fame inductees

 

 

Tickets will be available starting September 26th from any Board Member or Center Representative ,cost is $35 per person and hotel rooms are available for $89 for those wishing to stay overnight.
